Empathy(The Typer of this) Ace Boogie and Shaun Fauste make up the band, M.T. Bag.

That's pronounced Empty Bag, I can't even begin to tell you how many times we've been called, T-Bag. It stands for Most Thizzle Boys And Girls.

Thizzle= The Shizzle language for Thorough. (In the Bay Area, Thizzle means, taking Ecstasy....we don't do that)

I met Boogie and Fauste in high school. To my knowledge, they weren't rappers when I met them (at the time). Somehow, some way, our story lines intertwined.

Boogie and I used to hang out at our dude, Arturo's house a lot. Fauste and I used to write rhymes after school in the Retention center.

I left St.X sophomore year (the high school we met at)....this left Fauste and Boogie together, they became close.

Boogie started to come over my house senior year. I had just came up with the idea of Third World Records. He would sometimes bring his friend, Caleb, who became Johnny Storm...now he's Skeem Da General.

Fauste came into contact with us via the Internet and we soon included him as well.

With four in our stable, we made music ALL THE TIME!

We were just under the Third World Records name, no group name.

So our first album did not include the name, M.T. Bag....well except for a mentioning of it on "Third World Domination".

I came up with the idea of M.T. Bag when we were going through names...Smokin' On The Stairs, I believe that was a name we were going with for a minute. The idea was to sound like a rock band, as opposed to a rap group.

The definition, I came up with that in the middle of a lecture. I kind just pieced it together and it stuck.



Ok, now the fun stuff. Why do we do music?

We do this music thing because it's a form of artistic expression. We deliver a message. The message is: Underground rappers deserve the same respect as Mainstream ones. Why does the size of your wallet affect your sound?

The real Hip-Hop can only be brought back with a huge movement. It's starting pretty slowly right now, but, hey, a journey starts with one step.
